This is a rather huge frog, for Dutch standards! Her body is well over 13cm from head to tail, maybe even taller than 15cm…and with all her paws stretched out in the water, she’s takes up half the width of the pond! And don’t you think she’s got a curious colour? Hardly green or brown, right? In the water, she looks skin-coloured. Her man is a quarter of her size…super funny! But what he lacks in length, he compensates with colour…he’s as green as a Granny Smith! Grandpa Smith, he’s called. And this here’s Granny…. So, despite her colour we’re wondering if she’s a green frog after all. She’s mating with a green man. Or do frogs mate with frogs of another race? I don’t know if they discriminate.
