I’m working on a totally different style in my journal right now, heading more into the direction of a graphic novel. So, I’m exercising my comic skills. And I prefer using as little text as possible.
This set contains a sketchy set of autbiographical comic drawings about a very bad night I had last Monday. I drew on the fly – no sketching. So you’ll see mistakes. A hatched drawing, even. And if you look closely, you can also see that I drew this story in two days…and since day two was a stressful day with way less time to draw, it reflects in my work. I might do the second part over.
Still, I really like to draw in this style. It’s so easy to tell a story this way. And drawing this loosely is great fun. No perfection…intended awkwardness that allows for flaws.
